The project includes a 15,000-square-foot Florida PACE Medical Center operated by Miami Jewish Health.
The university broke ground April 15 on Marieb Hall South, a four-story, 158,040-square-foot facility that will become the largest academic building on campus. Construction is set to begin in May, and the building is expected to open for classes in spring 2029.
The project will add more than 470,000 square feet to the hospital system.
The proposal reflects a broader trend playing out in growth markets: older healthcare properties are being rethought not just as buildings, but as delivery platforms for community-based care.
