A Thriving Innovation Ecosystem
The county is becoming a hotspot for scientific innovation, supported by top-tier research institutions like the Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute and the Max Planck Florida Institute. A notable collaboration is taking place in the county’s northern area, where these institutions share a campus with the FAU Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute. - Cleveland Clinic is building a 110,000-square-foot facility in West Palm Beach, which will include 150 beds and expanded outpatient and specialty care.
- NYU Langone is investing $75 million into a new ambulatory care center, set to open in 2026.
- Jupiter Medical Center is rolling out new surgical facilities and a neighborhood hospital to serve 40,000 residents.
- HCA Florida Healthcare is upgrading Palms West Hospital with a new patient care tower.
- Baptist Health is actively improving and expanding emergency services across the county.
- Alan B. Miller Medical Center plans to construct a 150-bed hospital within a 365,000-square-foot, seven-story building, plus a four-story, 80,000-square-foot medical office and a helistop in Palm Beach Gardens.
- Tampa General Hospital, in partnership with the Health Care District of Palm Beach County, will manage and support operations at Lakeside Medical Center in Belle Glade.

Palm Beach County also hosts innovative biotech leaders like ADMA Biologics, Aqualung Therapeutics, and Expansion Therapeutics—companies making major strides in treating diseases such as cancer, ALS, and muscular dystrophy.
