Osceola Paves Way For New AdventHealth Hospital
Osceola County has taken a big step toward bringing a new hospital to the rapidly growing NeoCity area.
County commissioners recently approved a land purchase and development agreement with AdventHealth that clears the way for a healthcare campus at NeoCity South.
Under the plan, AdventHealth will build a hospital on about 20 acres that will open with at least 80 beds and include room to grow up to 200 beds over roughly the next eight years. Officials say the project will boost medical access for local residents and bring well-paying jobs to the region.
NeoCity — a major mixed-use development between Kissimmee and St. Cloud — is set to include retail, entertainment, housing and business space on a 320-acre site. The new hospital is part of a broader effort to create a vibrant, connected community hub while meeting the needs of a fast-expanding population.
County leaders highlighted that the partnership with AdventHealth fits with Osceola’s goals of improving healthcare access and driving economic growth. The health system already operates facilities throughout the area, and this new campus will expand its footprint further.
While exact timelines for construction haven’t been announced yet, the approval signals a major step toward bringing comprehensive hospital services closer to home for families in this part of Central Florida.
