Orlando Health is preparing to start construction this summer on Orlando Health Viera Hospital, a new medical campus planned for a 40-acre site in Viera.

The project will include a seven-story hospital with 240 beds, along with an emergency department, surgical suites, laboratories and pharmacy space. Plans also call for a three-story, 60,000-square-foot medical office building on the campus.

The MOB is expected to house physician practices and specialty services, including cardiovascular care, neurosciences and other medical specialties.

Orlando Health said the project will be developed in phases. The emergency department is slated to be the first component to open, with completion expected in fall 2027.
