Orlando Health Plans 146-Bed Hospital Expansion At Former Tupperware Campus
Orlando Health is advancing plans for a major healthcare expansion in Osceola County, where its existing emergency room and medical pavilion near the former Tupperware campus would become a full-service acute care hospital.
The project is planned for the Orlando Health Emergency Room and Medical Pavilion – Osceola at 1001 Osceola Parkway in Kissimmee. The health system’s proposal includes a new 146-bed patient tower that would connect to the existing emergency and outpatient medical facility.
The expansion would give Orlando Health a larger hospital presence in a growing part of Osceola County, where residential and commercial development continue to increase demand for nearby medical services. The site sits adjacent to the former Tupperware World Headquarters, a landmark property tied to one of Central Florida’s most recognizable legacy companies.
The proposed hospital would mark another step in the continued repositioning of the former Tupperware campus area, following Tupperware’s bankruptcy filing and the closure of its longtime headquarters operations.
