Acadia Healthcare To Build-Out $47.95 Million Hospital In St. Augustine
Acadia Healthcare has received approval to build a $47.95 million behavioral health hospital in St. Augustine.
The new two-story facility, covering 99,485 square feet, will be located at 132 Moonbay Parkway, just off Old County Road 210, east of Interstate 295. The building permit for the project was issued by St. Johns County on November 18, following an earlier permit on September 9 for the hospital’s foundation, which was valued at $1.3 million.
Acadia Healthcare owns the 6-acre parcel of land where the facility will be built.
Founded in January 2005 and headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee, Acadia Healthcare is a leading provider of behavioral health services. The company specializes in psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment, operating a wide range of facilities, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, specialty treatment centers, residential treatment programs, outpatient clinics, and therapeutic school-based services.
As of June, Acadia Healthcare operates a network of 258 behavioral health facilities across 38 states and Puerto Rico, with approximately 11,400 beds. The company employs over 23,500 staff members and serves around 75,000 patients daily.
