$34 Million MOB Project Planned Near Palm Beach County Hospital
Universal Health Realty Income Trust (UHT) is expanding its footprint in Palm Beach Gardens with plans for a new $34 million medical office project next to the future Alan B. Miller Medical Center.
The King of Prussia, Pennsylvania-based healthcare real estate firm announced in its third-quarter earnings report that it has signed a ground lease with Universal Health Services (UHS), also based in King of Prussia, for the development site.
Construction on the 80,000-square-foot medical office building is expected to begin in November. A UHS subsidiary has already agreed to lease 75% of the space under a 10-year agreement—consistent with the common practice of hospitals situating outpatient services in nearby office buildings.
The adjacent Alan B. Miller Medical Center, a seven-story, 156-bed hospital located at 13655 Pasteur Boulevard near the Donald Ross Road exit of Interstate 95, is currently under construction and slated for completion in spring 2026. In April, UHS appointed Gina Melby as the hospital’s CEO.
