Southeast Orthopedic Specialists, based in Jacksonville, has opened a new 14,500-square-foot clinic in St. Augustine, as announced in a news release on January 2.

The clinic is located at 45 Groover Loop, just south of Florida 312 and approximately 5 miles east of Interstate 95.

This clinic marks the first phase of a 37,000-square-foot expansion of orthopedic and spine services. The property is owned by Meadows & Ohly, a health care real estate firm based in Alpharetta, Georgia, through Sr 207 Mob LLC. The firm purchased the land for roughly $2.3 million in August.

Construction for the three-phase project began in November 2023, according to spokesperson David Lozano. Once complete, the facility is expected to serve over 26,000 patients annually. It will include four operating rooms, 23 exam rooms, two interventional pain management suites, an interventional radiology suite for both diagnosis and treatment, and an MRI suite.

Lozano estimates that when fully operational, the facility will employ 10 to 12 physicians and 10 to 14 advanced care providers.

Southeast Orthopedic Specialists currently operates 13 locations across Northeast Florida, including six in Jacksonville, five in St. Johns, and two in Clay County.
